P-trap Defined
A tubular portion of pipe with a dip that holds water, creating a blockage which prevents gases from passing into the room environment. The P- trap connects the lavatory or sink drain to the main waste line in the wall. Waterworks P-traps are all made from a 17 gauge tubular brass and come in coordinating finishes.
